Gui has a special gift for connecting with children and adolescents—creating a warm, engaging, and often playful environment where young clients feel safe to explore their emotions and grow. Whether he’s building trust through games, stories, or creative activities, Gui helps kids express what’s hard to put into words and discover new ways to cope, communicate, and thrive.
With years of experience working with children—including his time as a youth pastor—Gui understands the unique challenges kids and teens face at home, at school, and within friendships. He especially enjoys helping children with ADHD and anxiety learn strategies to manage big feelings and build confidence in themselves.
Gui earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Southwestern Theological Seminary and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. He draws from Attachment Theory and Family of Origin work to help clients understand how their early experiences shape the way they relate to themselves and others. His integrative approach allows clients to gain understanding and healing from unmet emotional needs or painful experiences that may have occurred at home, church, or work—moments that often leave a lasting mark on how we live and connect with others today. His approach integrates both clinical insight and compassion, offering a space for growth and healing that honors the whole person—mind, heart, and spirit. Gui’s desire is to walk alongside each client with curiosity, grace, and hope—helping them rediscover meaning, belonging, and peace in their story.
Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Gui works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. He also has a special heart for those recovering from spiritual abuse and for families seeking deeper connection and unity.
Outside the office, Gui enjoys life with his wife and two children. In his free time you’ll find him engaged in sports, cooking, hiking, gardening, and playing chess.
